Review of MANDY by Claudy Conn

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I always look forward to reading anything from this author has a way with words and always captures my full attention.

Mandy and Ned are twins, when Ned is framed for murder they set out to clear his name.
The twins are not yet of age so they have a guardian whom they haven’t met, their grandfathers friend ( he was given the guardianship when their grandfather passed away)
So they write to him for help but don’t expect him to come since they haven’t heard anything from him since the death of their grandfather.

The Duke ( the twins guardian) does travel to help them but is awestruck with Mandy and has to keep his mind on his duty, to clear Ned’s name.

The mystery and romance makes this book hard to put down!

I gave this book 5 Stars

Sweet Evil / Sweey Peril by Wendy Higgins ~ Reviews

I have just finished two great books and here are the reviews.

I was immediately sucked in and found the building storyline interesting.

The characters themselves flowed perfectly.

Anna finds out her life isn’t what she thought, yeah she knew she was different, but when she meets others like her , her life is on another path.

Not only does she meet these people that are like her, everyone has a purpose.

With that said she discovers the key to her heritage is slipping away. The one person that knows her secrets is ill and may not last long.

Anna must make a trip to find this out and while she is at it meet her dad for the first time.

I enjoyed this read and look forward to the next installment.

I gave this book 5 stars

This second book started off where the first ended. Anna is now learning to train with her father and making sure she is safe at the same time.

She has the burden of the hilt and at her first summit meeting thinks she might have to use it. She learns first hand what a Neph is all about.  You are always being watched and if you do not do your JOB you will be put to death.

She is told by her father she needs to make allies as a  part of the prophecy and he teams her up with Kopano to journey around the world and meet other Nephs and get them to join their group in the hopes of taking back their lives and to never have to WORK again at their jobs.

Kaidan , Anna’s love interest has moved to LA to move on with his band and has told Anna she needs to move on. Kopano  also has an interest in Anna and after a call to Kaidan, Anna is devastated to hear Kaidan tell Kopano to go for it, he has no feelings for her .

They learn that the Dukes( the fathers of the Nephs) think they have a traitor in the mix which makes the Nephs on edge and there mission has to be even more of a secret.

Anna and Kaidan finally make up and move. The allies have a set back but in the end they must keep going.

The emotions in this installment had me in tears at times and holding my breath at others.

This author is extremely gifted with her writing and I look forward to the next book in this series and other she may write in the future!

I gave this book 5 stars

Girl gone wild . . .

College is supposed to be a time of discovery, but Danielle Vaughn never imaged it would be like this: heightened senses, supernatural powers, and a sudden craving for human blood. Dani is a demi-vamp, the daughter of a human psychic and a vampire noble, a living secret kept hidden for twenty-one years.

As Dani’s heritage manifests itself, her thirst for blood is matched only by her hunger for Chase Diedrick. But as the son of the Vampire Council’s most powerful ruling family, Chase is already promised to another. Dani saw Council politics destroy her mother’s life; she won’t let the same thing happen to her. Besides, there’s no shortage of men who are eager to satisfy her every need, including the alluring vampire Kayden.

Unfortunately, Dani also has no shortage of enemies. Her heightened powers of telepathy and telekinesis attract the attention of a rogue vamp who preys on gifted vampires, absorbing their skills along with their lifeblood. Now, Dani must seek the Council’s help to quickly master her new vampire life . . . or risk losing it.

A little bit about Cat:

I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and now I live not far from my birth place in Perry Hall, Maryland. I have two teenage daughters and a man that keep me busy when I’m not working full-time as a Certified Medical Coder. I’m an avid reader and I love all genre of romantic fiction from historical to contemporary to paranormal. Sleeping has always been a problem for me so most nights I can be found in the living room reading or writing instead of in bed like the rest of the world. I don’t watch television. It’s not a conscious decision, it just never occurs to me to turn it on when I have books to read and writing to do. It can actually be a hazard, because I never know what the weather will be until I look outside and I have to rely on my kids and coworkers for local and world news. I love creating the characters you love and love to hate. My characters remind me of people I know and people I wish I had never known.
